Does anyone have any experience with their dog having seizures? Any connection with the full moon? - my dog is having seizures
My dog attack 2-1/2 years ago seems to come right after the full moon, is there a link? No idea whether it will increase in intensity? I am not prepared to strengthen its place, if only every month. Any ideas out there?

can only hope that there is no doggy man during the full moon ...
My only advice / assistance is a vet to check it out ... or if you have an answer, click here to help, perhaps a search engine and search.
My dog has these mothers, the vet said that if only once a month, do not worry, but more frequent tests then good luck to you and your dog
I do not think that there is a connection, which basically means nothing. My Mini-Chihuahua has seizures and is now on medicine for her because he fell out of bed, and I think he has his head on the table and do something. But now, sometimes just random. I think there is no connection.
So we've put a man on the moon, instead of sending the dogs, they still have seizures.
Very doubtful it has anything to do with the change LUNA / phase. Poor dog ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ PLEASE Be Your Dog Displays a VETRANARIAN. My sisters dog had to because of the great problems that are causing the crisis laid to rest. In other cases, the use of appropriate medications are administered. GOOD LUCK
There is no connection. My dog was 2 seziors lost in a single day in the summer and has control and he died. In general, if not enough food or water, and only when they are sick.
** If you are sure your dog is then I'm waiting suggest you consult a vet and ask for your situation .**
My previous dog was hard, but not connected to the moon. The vet thought it was epilepsy, could not prove it. It happened once a month or two, and after a few minutes only a short distance was. The vet said it was probably better to do nothing because it does not happen often enough to be dangerous.
I had a toy poodle who had seizures and the vet said he offered in small breeds. Mine was about 1.2 times per month, the vet said that just seen that they do not cost anything if you frequently self.and then put them on the seizure med
I do not think that there is a connection. My 10 years. old dog had seizures every time it got so bad that he had finally put to rest.
Would seizuring full every month? I doubt it. You never know, maybe your dog when you arent around seizuring. If you love your dog, take him to a vet and get a drug Phenobarb is cheap, why not?
I had a friend whose schnauzer had a seizure when he overwrought. He is nervous and pants, and run it to collapse.
My neighbors dog had seizures, but it came only once. I do not believe that the moon has nothing to do with it. But if your dog often, and every month is what I see so often, you should have a vet about your condition.
had Saluki, was an epileptic.
Vet said to give the expansion of pills every day to combat the problem.
No, too risky to try your diet good dog, hold, monitor wait events outside the normal.
May deteriorate, it is necessary to keep the event log, if necessary. Good luck.
The full moon has nothing to do with it. Seizures can be fatal if too often happens. Table of his attacks, then take the table FP. Pay attention to unusual circumstances. A sudden loud noise and are used to trigger my dog attacks. Also amend the list of surveillance.
Good luck.
Nothing to do with the moon.
This is very serious and dangerous for a dog. Take her to the vet immediately.
My last 2 dogs have died from attacks. A year older, the other 9 years.
If the dog begins to pant. Do not go, leave everything and run to the vet at any time day or night.
Good luck, God bless
Seizures can be caused by stress, although in reality it is a chemical imbalance that the dog will go through the loss of control over the muscles, causes, and if your vet says that the placement should help your dog on medication for a few questions:
You know what kind of chemical imbalance that he / she have?
How serious is the crisis?
I Pedi attacks are scary and evil and harm to the muscles of my terrible, but they will not cause brain damage or even kill me. I take no drugs. If more, or had grand mal seizures, my doctor, because it is the seriousness and the possible side effects. If your dog loses consciousness during his arrest has uncontrollable bowl movements, the suppression of the language can be a great mistake, if nothing else than shake and realize that this could be the big bad Pedi. People and animals die because of untreated seizure of high activity.
My cocker spaniel Maltese Cross had seizures. We took her to the vet and told us he had epilepsy. She lived a normal and healthy place to uncontrollable fits of phenobarbital. (Only I was 10) It is best to take him to the vets. If it can epileptic seizures be treated and you can have your dog for a while.
My dog has seizures, but it was ten years old when she was only on them. The vet said it was sorta book. She died shortly after the meeting. I hope this is not your problem. Take him to the vet, it might cancer.
I watched the Discovery Channel about dogs with seizures. This could be referred to a sleep disorder narcolepsy.
You need to see a neurologist, you have your dog. If the vet says, wait for the next attack. I think he had a 2nd Opinion! ASAP!
I regret that you and your dog will have to cope with.
Good luck. and all you know to pray for your pup!
I will be my contribution tonight. [Prayers]
God be with you!
How much information do you want?
Seizures ... wow!
Well, I have a stray dog when I was a woman aged 10 6 seizures in about a year of my knowledge. It goes to one of us, beside us, and then have to attack this 3.5 minuets. Then she got up as if nothing happened and move.
The vet looked at twice, not even a differential diagnosis with blood work and its derivative to do, and still can not find anything but a very healthy dog.
Your seizes it disappeared suddenly, as they are published.
The food throughout the test does not change. There was many moons before and after may be the reason. I asked the vet about the medicine, they say, we did not and went
I am also an epileptic. I Grand Mall and Mall seizes Psycho-engine and took in the last 38 years. The line, which in the language, while a choking hazard Seizer is a myth passed on by ignorance.
If you have a dog or a man a large shopping Seizer everything you need to do, you need to find pViolated his protection in the car floor or other objects.

The best thing to do is treat your dog. If you wish, had epilepsy medicine. Many small dogs have seizures that many experts believe, is inbreeding and / or food. He was a miniature schnauzer and a medical crisis, which was a very loving, wonderful animal drugs and did not help pain. We have taken great pleasure and it was a small price to pay and they do not feel worried if the next attack comes
i dont have a dog
HAHAHAHA no connection. In general, if not enough food or water, and only when they are sick.
I recommend you to a vet and ask about their situation and not to its plezzz delay ...

Go to the vet some may say more about the crisis
I have a small dog, seizures since the age of 6 months has been. She is now 9 years old. The crisis began soon after she was neutered and has a point to deteriorate, that he took his left hand he sees several times a day. It is very difficult to recognize. The vet put her on phenobarbital first and that made aggressive Primodone what is happening and by some adjustments in the dosage. It Primodone twice daily in a dosage adjustment for their size. She was on medication for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. / 2 years without problems. She is not stupid or something. I can say, however, if she had no medication today, so I try to make sure to keep your medications on a regular schedule. I have not noticed any connection with the lunar cycle.
There are many things that can lead to seizure disorders - Metabolic disorders, epilepsy, exposure to toxins, tumors ... It would be a good idea to talk with your vet and see if he / she will recommend that you get a blood panel to exclude certain causes. I know nothing about the connection to the moon to know - too many attacks seem to be cyclical, so it just a coincidence, or could as some animals may be more sensitive. It would be interesting if more studies on this topic.
